In today’s world, prime reasons for distraction is : Social Media & lack of goal.

Two main issues which connect us with social media:

(1)  App notification: Now this play very significance role in letting ourself falls for social web. You must have felt that whenever you have any kind of notification, you just click on it & rest you waste hour or two easily. Regret follows next.

   So what plays best solution?

Many would say, avoid using app. Nope that’s not a solution because you will feel somewhere, you need it to use though rare only.

Solution: Best solution is just disable app notification. By doing so, you will win first battle. Yes, almost every phones comes with “digital wellbeing” inbuilt.  Just always have look over your daily usage from chart.

    (2) Self Control: This is another problem that we are so addicted that even without notification, we just turn on cell phones after every minute.

Solution: In this case , learn art of self control. Best hack is: Use password of screen lock ” Unlock to ruin your life”. You wont open again & again because you would feel something while typing those words.

 Lack of goal:

Lack of goal: This is yet another problem that we don’t know what we exactly need to do in life. Make your goal. Give yourself plenty of time to explore yourself. Once you feel why you are studying for, you will win battle. Remember, when you have mission in life, you will never caught in distraction.

Follow these steps for effective education:

(1)   Make a proper schedule for preparation. Schedule should me made simple initially so that it can be followed. Once you get habitual of that, just increase your slot timing. Lets see beautiful schedule of AIR 1 , Tina Dabi(IAS Topper, 2016) timetable:

(a)    Her schedule was divided into three board section as follows:

(i)                  For three hours she used to study “tough topics”

(ii)                For two hours she used to study “medium topics”

(iii)               For three hours she used to “revise” past topics.

Analysis: She devoted her fixed schedule for topics according to their level. Have you seen beauty in it? What she did different from others : “Revision”. Revision plays very important role & this step sets difference than other competitors . When you revise daily, you never forget any concepts, you won’t run for last day preparation. Everyone makes plan, one who follows that person succeeds in life. Tina dabi secured AIR 1 in her very first attempt of IAS paper. Just make your timetable & follow it wisely keeping revision time daily. Take proper break.

(2)    Meditation: Always perform 10-15 minutes meditation right after you wake up & one before going to sleep. While meditation, just think about your missions & charge your brain to follow given schedule. Do it once, then see the difference.

(3)    Physical activities : Perform 45 minutes-1 hour physical work to maintain energy level inside your body. Its must. Remember, healthy mind resides in healthy body. Drink plenty of water.

(4)    Sufficient Sleep: Take seven hours sleep daily.

(5)    45/5 ratio: After studying for 45 minutes, take 5 minute break. Drink water & feel relax. Its way to increase concentration.

(6)    Power of compounding: Einstein said its wonder of world to have concept of compounding: See below expression & feel it:

Best Hack 1: Always make separate room for studying. Don’t enter in that room just for timepass. Yes, enter in that room only when you wish to study. This will create a positive environment . Do it once, after that you would automatically feel that place whenever you enter. That place would give positive vibes. Its one of Psychology tricks.

Best Hack 2: Always write down important concept or formula of entire subject on Chart paper. Whenever you enter in room, just spend 5 minutes in reading. Repeat this process whenever you enter or leave room. You will feel that your brain is continuously grasping same concept again & again. This is finest & psychological win to revise content. Those small minutes which one uses to spare watching hear & there, would save plenty of time for revision.

Best Hack 3: Always have one calendar in your room. Cut down dates which passed. Its best way to analyse what you are losing everyday.

Best Hack 4: Click pic of your schedule ,make it  homepage & screen lock pic. It will always remind you to fulfill your goal.

Consistency is very powerful that would take you to success. Remember this.

DONT’S :

(A)   Never use cellphones right after you wake up.  Use phone only when you have allotted your time to use it.

(B)   Don’t browse what you don’t want. Avoid surfing catchy content. Its called “caught in web”. Use books mostly for doubts.

(C)   Don’t listen songs while studying.

(D)   Never pick calls. Response to urgent calls only that are unavoidable.
